S’more Camp Club: Paper Creatures & Cicadas
When: Thursday, July 22, 3:30-4:30 PM (EST)
What: Hosted by Riverside Arts Center in Ypsilanti, campers learn to create a flying cicada (and other curious summer creatures).
Supplies needed: Construction paper, tape or glue stick, pencil or pen or crayons/markers (all supplies provided in camp-in-a-box). In addition, you will need a long piece of string or yarn, scissors, adhesive putty or something similar (like modeling clay), and a flat rubber band.
New this summer, Sβmore Camp Clubs is a weekly series of real-time activities, hosted by artists, designers, yoga and martial arts instructors, and talented guests from the community. The free programs are open to any camper registered for North Star Reachβs 2021 summer camp-at-home. All registered campers are automatically signed up for the Sβmore Camp Clubs offered during their condition-specific session. However, campers can register for additional clubs to enjoy activities with their camp friends all summer long.
